What are the benefits of clinical supervision?
When approached with care, clinical supervision allows experienced providers to facilitate long-term growth and development for associate clinicians. Despite challenges like lack of time, management, prioritization, or organizational support, there has never been a more important moment for clinicians to pay it forward by investing in this essential framework.
In our upcoming virtual event, Motivo’s Co-Founder and CEO Rachel Ledbetter, LMFT and Chief Clinical Officer, Carla Smith, Ph.D, LCSW, LMFT will be in conversation with with Alma’s VP of Clinical, Elisabeth Morray, Ph.D for an overview of all things clinical supervision.
During the conversation, they’ll cover:
Rachel Ledbetter is the CEO and Co-Founder of Motivo Health, the first HIPAA-compliant video platform for virtual clinical supervision. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Rachel’s own challenges navigating licensure sparked her mission to remove barriers for aspiring therapists.
Before founding Motivo, Rachel worked with underserved communities, including providing therapy to chronically homeless adults on Skid Row in Los Angeles and later supporting families through Georgia HOPE.
Dr. Carla Smith is a leading voice in clinical supervision, provider-first workforce solutions, and continuing education. As the Chief Clinical Officer at Motivo, she develops learning opportunities and best practices that enhance clinical quality, compliance, and supervision in behavioral health.
Her work explores sustainable, high-quality supervision models that promote provider well-being and address workforce retention.
Elisabeth is a practicing clinician, as well as VP of Clinical Operations at Alma.
Her work focuses on using the principles of psychological flexibility in order to help individuals live meaningful, purpose-driven lives, and how the therapeutic relationship creates environments in which flexibility can be learned and practiced. Recognizing a need for increased support among clinicians in private practice, she joined Alma in 2022.
