About the Author

Jasmine Williams, LCSW-C, is a neurodivergent and bilingual Black woman from Upstate New York who has turned her lived experience into her life’s mission: to show up for the communities that reflect not only who she is, but what she’s overcome. As the founder of Welkin Wellness, she helps individuals, couples, and families move through life’s more complicated chapters with care.
A licensed psychotherapist with a deep love for her work, Jasmine specializes in family conflict, uncoupling, anxiety disorders, complex trauma, personality disorders, and the overwhelming demands of modern parenthood. Her approach blends clinical depth with cultural humility, always grounded in the belief that healing looks different for everyone.
Over the past decade, Jasmine has worn many hats—therapist, educator, advocate. She’s worked in private practice and community-based settings, led parenting classes, facilitated group and recreational therapy, supervised court-involved family visitations, and provided psychotherapy to incarcerated young adults. Her passion lies in supporting people impacted by systemic oppression and those navigating complex, layered identities. These experiences have shaped the grounded, affirming, and culturally responsive care she’s known for.Currently a PhD candidate in International Psychology, Jasmine’s research explores how developmental trauma reverberates across cultures and generations. Her clinical work is guided by both academic rigor and hard-earned wisdom—and at its core is a commitment to helping clients heal in ways that feels meaningful, sustainable, and truly transformative.
